It's easy to create your free two-page profile site for Funeralville's Professional Directory. Just follow the instructions below by filling in the blanks or making a selection from a pull-down menu. When you're finished, click the 'Preview Profile' button to see a draft version of your Profile Page.
If there are any errors or omissions on your preview page, click your browser's "Back" button to return to the form, correct or complete the form, and then preview your page again. If everything is now satisfactory on the preview page, then just click the 'Make Page' button at the bottom of the preview. That's all there is to making your profile site!
Security
You will choose a First Name, Last Name and Password which will be used to administer your page. You will be able to modify the information on your profile page after it is created. For instance, if your email address changes, no problem, just come to the Personal Profiles section of the Funeralville.com site and click on 'Modify Profile'. You will then be prompted for your filename and password before you can change your profile information. Please select a password that you can remember. It's a good idea to write your filename and password down somewhere where you can find it later.
We also provide a backup where you can choose a security question and specify and answer, such as "What is your favorite pet's name?" If you forget your password, click on the link "I forgot my password", and you'll have to remember the answer to this question exactly.
Filename and Password
You choose your First Name and Last Name and Password by typing one word or combination of letters and numbers into the Password field. It should be less than 20 characters in length and contain only letters, numbers, periods ".", hyphens "-" or underscores "_". Use only ONE continuous password and NO punctuation or spaces. Your filename is automatically created using the First Name and Last Name you provide. If you specify "jeff" for First Name and "smith" for Last Name, then the direct address to your site would be www.funeralville.com/bio/jeff_smith.html
Try to choose a filename that is easy to remember, for example, if your name is Josephine-Anne O'Grady, you might choose "jo" as your First Name and "ogrady" as your Last Name to make "jo_ogrady.html" as your filename. You will have to remember the First and Last name exactly as you specified it in order to edit your page. Your filename will become part of your Web address (URL) for your Profile Site. You will be able to specify your name as displayed on your profile including all punctuation and spaces in the field "Full Name".
Other Tips
After you fill out the Create Profile form, you will be able to see a Preview of the Profile pages. Make sure you use the Make Page link at the bottom of the Preview page to actually create the pages. If you quit at the Preview page, you won't end up with a Profile site. (This also applies when modifying your site.)
